The Texas Tech Red Raiders will make their College World Series debut when they take on Big 12 foe TCU today at 2pm from Omaha, Nebraska.  Newly named National College Baseball Coach of the Year Tim Tadlock will look to continue the success they have had as of late on their way to a 45-19 record.  The second ranked Horned Frogs of TCU come into this match up with a 47-16 overall record.

Now these two teams split during the regular season as Tech won the series in Fort Worth two games to one.  The Red Raiders then dropped a non conference game against the Horned Frogs in Abilene, TX back on April 22nd, by a score of 4-0.

TCU earned their College World Series birth after a tough Super Regional series win over the University of Pepperdine in three games.  The Red Raider took care of the University of Charleston this past weekend in their Super Regional match up as they won both games one and two by scores of 1-0.  It was only the second time in Super Regional's history that a team had shutout its opponent during the best-of-three series after Rice posted a pair of shutouts over LSU in the 2002 Houston Super Regional.

First pitch for this game is set for today at 2pm from TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha and can be seen on ESPN2.
