40 minutes of regulation time wasn't enough time to settle this one as the Texas Tech women's basketball team took down the West Virginia Mountaineers 77-73 in overtime last night.

Christine Hyde led Tech in scoring with 19 points.  She also made nine of 10 free throws attempted.  Monique Smalls contributed to the scoring with 17 points.  Chynna Brown rounded out the scoring with 16 points.  It was the six time that she scored in double figures in seven games.  Tech finished the game shooting 42.4 percent from the field.

On the other side of the court, Averee Fields and Bria Holmes led West Virginia in scoring with 17 points each.  Christal Caldwell contributed to the scoring with 16 points.  Taylor Palmer and Ayana Dunning rounded out the scoring with five points each.  The Mountaineers finished the game shooting 42.9 percent from the field.

Tech will return home to take on TCU on Sunday.  Tip off is at Noon.
