Texas Tech forward Jessica Fuston was recognized by the Big 12 Conference Tuesday, as she earned Offensive Player of the Week honors.

The junior scored three goals, two in the span of just 2:50, against Montana to match a career-high and lead the Red Raiders to a 4-0 win in their finale at the TCU Invitational over the weekend.

"Jessica is just a true goal scorer," head coach Tom Stone said. "And she has added some elements to her game this year. She has always been great in the air, but her power now with her shot has improved and she can score in a lot of different ways."

The recognition marks the fourth time in Fuston’s career that she has earned Player of the Week honors.

Fuston currently leads the Big 12 with four goals on the season as the Red Raiders have outscored their first four opponents by a 9-1 margin. The four goals this season brings her career total to 23 which ranks fifth all-time at Texas Tech.

Texas Tech returns to action from home Friday against Nevada with first kick from the John Walker Soccer Complex scheduled for 7 p.m.
