Texas Tech seniors Raony Carvalho and Gonzalo Escobar were named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Star Team Monday, which features the nation’s top-ranked players and national champions from the 2011-12 season.
Carvalho and Escobar are two of eight NCAA Division I players selected to the squad.
The tandem finished the season as national finalists in doubles and earned a No. 3 national ranking. Escobar, Tech’s all-time winningest player, and Carvalho, the second winningest player in school history, earned All-America honors for their efforts.
