The Dallas Cowboys headed to the west coast to take on the San Diego Chargers as they looked to go 3-1 to start the season.  Philip Rivers and company had other plans though as they would erase a 21-10 second quarter lead on their way to a 30-21 win on Sunday afternoon.

Tony Romo and the offense showed up for the first half as they managed to score all of their 21 points but forgot they had a second half to play as they were shut out.  Romo would end up with just under 250 yards of passing along with two touchdowns but the run game would once again struggle as DeMarco Murray only gained 70 yards on 14 carries.

Monty Kiffin's defense had one of their worst games so far this season.  They would give up over 500 yards of offense and surrender 21 unanswered points on their way to the loss.  Philip Rivers really exploited the Dallas' secondary as he racked up over 400 yards passing and added three touchdowns.  Rivers averaged almost 10 yards a completion in the game with many of those completions going to All-Pro tight end Antonio Gates.  Gates finished the game with 136 yards receiving and a touchdown as he gave the defense problems all game long.

Dallas will need to get back on track if they want to avoid falling below .500 on the year.  That will not be easy as Payton Manning and the undefeated Denver Broncos come to town.  They will get that chance this Sunday with kickoff set for 3:25 pm and can be seen on CBS.
