The Dallas Cowboys Offensive Lineman Brian Waters Likely Out for the Season Due to Torn Tricep

The Dallas Cowboys offensive line took a hit this past Sunday that will likely sideline guard Brian Waters for the rest of the season.  Dallas had acquired Waters early in the year in free agency as they hoped that he could solidify the offensive line and be a force up front. He would suffer multiple injuries in Sunday’s loss to the Detroit Lions but the worst of the bunch was a torn triceps.  The other injuries include a hyper-extended knee and a rib injury to go along with the triceps issue.  Six year veteran Mackenzy Bernadeau will likely be his replacement going forward.

Head coach Jason Garrett had this to say about Waters (Pictured on the Left) injury, “He’s done a lot, maybe as much as anything else, it’s his demeanor.  He’s a guy that plays the game the right way, he’s physical, he’s tough he knows what to do, he plays with a little bit of an edge to him and that’s a positive thing and I’ve talked to our team about it, it’s contiguous. You get a guy like that who can do it again and again and again, always kinda making an impression trying to break their will. And other guys see that it’s OK and it’s a good thing to do, it’s good for your team, he’s good for the offensive line and he’s good for everybody on our team. He’s had a real positive influence.”

Dallas will need to start getting Bernadeau ready for Sunday as the offense had a less than impressive outing last week.  They will look to get back about .500 when the Minnesota Vikings come to town on Sunday.
