Dirk Nowitzki led the Dallas Mavericks with 19 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Los Angeles Clippers as the Mavs fell 94-75. Jason Terry chipped in 15 points for the Mavericks. The Mavs were without starters Jason Kidd, who has a strained right groin, and Lamar Odom who is out with a stomach illness.

Quentin Richardson was the spark for the Clippers sinking 8 of 11 three pointers on his way to 36 points. Blake Griffin chipped in 15 points and had an impressive 16 rebounds. Griffin has been playing so well this season that his performance against the Mavs was one of his worst this season.

The Mavs return to action Wednesday against the Memphis Grizzlies. With the loss, the Mavs move to 6th place in the Western Conference standings.
