After keeping it close during the first two game, for instance game one literally coming down to the last second, game three wasn't even close as the Oklahoma City Thunder took down the Dallas Mavericks 95-79. Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavs with 17 points and 9 rebounds and Jason Terry pitched in 11 of his own. Durant led the Thunder with 31 points.

The real story of the Mavs woes in this game are extremely simple, the inability for the Mavs to guard Kevin Durant, and the Thunder outshouting the Mavs 42%-32%. Other than shooting percentage, the stats are virtually identical.

Kevin Durant, who had been in a slump for the first two games, finally found his shot, going 80% from shots further than 15 feet. Unfortunately for Mavs fans, it looks like their playoff run is going to end with the Thunder. If the Mavs do fall to the Thunder, they will be the first defending champion to be eliminated in the first round.

What do you think about the Mavericks chance of coming back in the serious?
