Lubbock, TX (1340TheFan.com) — Tuesday marked day two of Texas Tech football practice for the 2012 season.  Temperatures reached as high as 102 degrees which meant plenty of Red Raiders got their share of trying to stay hydrated.

"Everybody is going to start getting tired,' said head coach Tommy Tuberville.  "That's what it's about, there really isn't any two-a-days anymore.  It's a lot easier than it used to be, when you only go one time, it takes longer to get in shape and get used to it.  It's probably the hottest part of the day at 4 o'clock, it's pretty tough, but that's part of it."

Tuberville addressed the unique story of his freshman offensive lineman, Anthony Smith, Smith suffered an ankle sprain before training camp while riding a scooter.

"I would think the one's that use (scooter's) would use common sense," said Tuberville.  "And if you're 320 pounds you don't get on a scooter you get in a car."
