The Houston Astros were able to take the series with their 8-1 win over the division leading Oakland Athletics on Wednesday as Dallas Keuchel had one of his best outings of the year.  "I was extremely proud of the way our guys played, even yesterday," manager Bo Porter said. "We came up short, but again it speaks to the resilience of this group. It speaks to their attitude each and every day -- put the last day behind you and come back and win the ballgame."

Keuchel earned the win as he threw a complete game four hitter, giving up just one run on four hits while striking out five Athletic batters.  Offensively, Houston got going early as they scored six runs in the first inning and never looked back.  Eight of Houston's nine batters were able to get hits in the win with Robbie Grossman and Jon Singleton (pictured on the left) both homering.

Houston will now begin a four game weekend series against the Toronto Blue Jays with first pitch for that game set for 7:10pm with the pre-game starting at 6:45pm.  You can hear all the action right here on Sports Radio 1340 the FAN.
