The Houston Astros took on the Chicago White Sox on Friday night from Minute Maid Park.  Houston was looking to place back to back wins together for the second time this month but would have to do against the White Sox's ace Chris Sale.  Sale (Pictured on the Left) was just as good as expected going eight innings while giving up five hits, no earned runs, and striking out 14 Astros.

That is where the Astros were able to capitalize as the Chicago had two costly errors in the game that lead to one of Houston's runs.  They would win the game with a final score of 2-1.  Houston starter Erik Bedard earned the win as he went six innings giving up just three hits.  The bullpen did its job as they allowed no runs the rest of the way for Houston and gave up just three hits in that span.

Jose Altuve lead the Astros on offense going 2 for 4 on the night with the lone RBI in the win.  Game two of the weekend series is Saturday night with first pitch set for 6:15 pm on FOX from Houston.
