The Houston Astros took on the Oakland Athletics in game two of their midweek series last night in Oakland.  It took eleven innings but they were able to pull out their second win in a row and can go for the series sweep today.

Carlos Corporan drove in Jose Altuve who scored all the way from first base due to an error by Oakland's center fielder Chris Young as they went on to win 2-1.  Chris Carter and Jonathan Villar helped provide the rest of the offense last night.  Carter added a home run in the seventh and Villar went 3 for 4 in the win.

The Astros sent rookie Jarrod Cosart (Pictured on the Right) to the mound last night and he did not disappoint.  He went six strong innings giving up no runs on just three hits.  He did not receive the win however.  That went to reliever Lucas Harrell who came in and shut the door for the Astros.  The teams will play game three of the midweek series today with first pitch set for 2:35 pm from Oakland.
