The Lady Raider Basketball Team Heads to Stillwater To Take on #16 OSU
The Texas Tech Lady Raider basketball team will head to Stillwater, Oklahoma tonight as they face off against #16 Oklahoma State. Candi Whitaker and company are coming off a 52-37 win over TCU on Sunday as they currently sit at 11-2 on the year and 1-0 in Big 12 play. As for Oklahoma State, they are coming off a 61-45 road loss to the #6 ranked Baylor Lady Bears on Saturday that ended an eight-game winning streak. On the year, their record sits at 10-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
The Cowgirls are led by Brittney Martin, Liz Donohoe and Roshunda Johnson, who each average more than 12 points per game. They are seventh in the country in scoring defense, allowing just 51 points per game, and #11 in scoring margin, winning by an average of 21.8 per game.
This will be the 55th meeting between the two schools. The Lady Raiders lead the overall series 32-22 but have lost the last three meeting dating back to the second round of the 2013 Big 12 Championship. They are 12-12 in Stillwater and have won just once in the last four trips north of Texas. Tip off for this game is set for 7pm from at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater.
