The Texas Tech Lady Raiders are on the road this weekend as they must make the trip up to Fort Worth to take on TCU.  Candi Whitaker's squad fell earlier in the year on January 4th in Lubbock by a final score 64-54.  That brings us to this weekend's game.

"When we can avoid the droughts and we have more people step up and make plays, we can have more success," Tech head coach Candi Whitaker said. "We can't wait for Amber to make it every time for us. So if we keep getting more players involved we will have a better chance to win the game."

Junior guard Amber Battle, the team's leading scorer, looks to continue on her pace of 18.2 points per game which is the best scoring average for a Lady Raider in eight seasons. She has scored in double digits 20 times this season including the previous eight games.  Battle has scored 20 points or more eight times this year and has recorded five double-doubles.

TCU's sophomore guard Zahna Medley leads the team in scoring, averaging 15.7 points and also leads the team in assists dishing out almost four per game.

Tip off for Saturday's game is set for noon from Daniel-Meyer Coliseum and can be seen on FOX Sports SW.
