Candi Whitaker and the Lady Raiders are still searching for their first conference win in the 2013-2014 season.  They are also in the midst of a seven game losing streak dating back to a December 21st win over Florida Atlantic (76-63).  That seventh loss came at the hands of the #11 ranked Oklahoma State Cowgirls over the weekend.

Amber Battle led the Lady Raiders once again as she poured in 21 points, but OK State was just too tough.  Texas Tech trailed by just one point with 1:51 remaining in the first half, but the Cowgirls made three baskets in a row to take a 33-28 lead at the break.  The second half was all Oklahoma State though, as the Cowgirls started the period on a 20-5 run.  Tech could not bounce back as they went on to lose the game by a final score of 82-56.

With the loss, Candi Whitaker and company are now just 6-11 on the season and 0-6 in Big 12 play.  They also have yet to win a game away from the United Spirit Arena.  They will get another chance to notch a win at home this week though when they host West Virginia.  Tip off for that game is set for 6:30pm on Wednesday from the United Spirit Arena in Lubbock.
