The Red Raider Softball Team Kicks Off Weekend Series Against The Oklahoma Sooners

Texas Tech is looking to continue their 13 game winning streak against one of the best pitching staffs in the country in the 5th ranked Oklahoma Sooners. Tech's victory over Iowa State last weekend propelled them to 30 wins on the season, the third time in as many years.

Oklahoma leads the series against Texas Tech by a resounding 25 games, 31-6 all time. Oklahoma has also won 11 of the last 13 in the series with the Red Raiders. The pitching staff for the Sooners has been their strength all season long as they have a combined .74 ERA.

Tech is led by Adriana Perez, coming off Big 12 co-player of the week honors, batted .714 last week, with 12 RBI. The Red Raiders also have a strong defence, 4th in the country, wracking up an astounding .979 fielding precentage.

First pitch is set for 7pm at the Oklahoma University Softball Complex.
