Both the San Antonio Spurs and the Golden State Warriors made the long trip back to Texas to play a crucial game 5 at the AT&T Center.  San Antonio's defense really needed to step up again to help guide the team to another victory.  They did just that giving themselves a 3-2 series lead with a 109-91 win.

The San Antonio Spurs collectively forced sharp-shooters Stephan Curry and Klay Thompson to combine for a series low 13 points combined.  They really clamped down on Curry in the second half where he was only able to score 2 points and forced him into committing 3 turnovers in that span.

Tony Parker led the way again for San Antonio with 25 points and 10 assists.  Kawhi Leonard also played a big role both on the offensive and defensive side of the ball.  He added 17 points but his main contributions were in defending Warrior Guard's Curry and Thompson.

The series heads back to Oakland on Thursday as the Spurs will look to close out the series.  Tip-off is set for 9:30p on ESPN.
