Late Friday morning, Texas Tech Football released its 2012 schedule on its mobile smart phone app according to the Dallas Morning News online. The problem is that the Big 12 Conference had to delay the official release of the schedule to due legal issues pertaining to West Virginia and its exit from the Big East Conference.

The twelve game schedule, if it holds up, will showcase six home games for Texas Tech in Lubbock with a neutral site conference game against Baylor in Arlington, TX at Cowboys Stadium. The home slate includes Northwestern State on September 1st and New Mexico September 15th. The next home game is five weeks later hosting West Virginia. Kansas and Oklahoma will visit Lubbock in the first two Saturdays in November with Texas traveling up to Lubbock on December 1st on Championship Saturday.

Texas Tech's first road game is September 8th at Texas State in San Marcos to open up their new stadium and the first conference road game is September 29th at defending Big 12 Champion Oklahoma State in Stillwater. Texas Tech will travel to Fort Worth for TCU's first Big 12 home game and then take to the road next at the end of October taking on pariah to the Red Raiders, the Iowa State Cyclones. Texas Tech finishes the portion of the schedule at 2011 surprise Kansas State in Manhattan, KS.

This schedule will most likely change with when Tech will play these teams, but if it hold true then look out for some great teams rolling into Lubbock facing the Red Raiders.
