The Texas Rangers and the Oakland Athletics are currently tied atop the AL West as both teams enter this series with 15-10 records.  Texas swept the opening series between these two teams one week earlier but then lost a series to the Seattle Mariners.  Oakland is trying to get back on track as they have lost five of their last seven games after starting the year 13-5.  Oakland will send Sonny Gray to the mound opposite Texas ace Yu Darvish as they are set to square off in the series opener.  Darvish will be pitching on six days' rest after allowing the A's three runs on eight hits and four walks with six strikeouts in six innings in his last outing.  First pitch for tonight's game is set for 7:05pm from Globe Life Park in Arlington and can be seen on FOX Sports SW or ESPN.
