The Texas Rangers Blow One in the Ninth Inning to the Seattle Mariners Falling 4-3

The Texas Rangers new closer, Joe Nathan, struggled in his appearance against the Seattle Mariners as he gave up two runs in the ninth inning, allowing the Mariners to escape with a 4-3 victory.
Former Ranger Justin Smoak led off the ninth with a single, starting the beginning of the end for the Texas Rangers hopes of winning the game. Kyle Seager then came to the plate and belted a double setting up John Jaso. John Jaso came to the plate with two outs in the ninth inning and belted an RBI single to give the Mariners the win.
All in all it was a disappointing outing for the Rangers closer made ever more frustrating by the fact that starter Colby Lewis pitched a very solid game.
With the loss, the Rangers fall to 5-2 on the season.
