The Texas Rangers Face Off Against a Struggling Kansas City Royals Squad on Friday Night

The Texas Rangers play host to the Kansas City Royals on Friday night for the start of a three game series.

They are looking to put together back-to-back wins as they send left-hander Derek Holland to the mound.  Holland is looking to earn his fourth win in the month of May but will have to out dual Royals starter Wade Davis to do so.

Rangers second baseman Jurickson Profar(Pictured on the right) has been stating his case to stay up with the team.  In his short time with the Rangers this year he is hitting .370 with one homerun and five RBI’s.  He hopes to continue his success while Ian Kinsler is still on the 15-day DL nursing a rib injury.

The Royals hope to turn their offensive woe’s around as the hired former K.C. great George Brett as an interim batting coach.  First pitch is set for 7:05 pm from the Ballpark in Arlington.
