The Texas Rangers struggled last night as they fell to the Colorado Rockies by a final score of 8-2 on Monday night.  Martin Perez was on the mound for Texas, but he would struggle up in the altitude of Coors Field as he gave up five earned runs on seven hits in just five innings of work to take the loss.  Opposite him was former Houston Astro Jordan Lyles who continued his hot start to the 2014 season.  He earned the win last night going eight innings while giving up just two runs on seven hits and striking out five Rangers.  With the loss, Texas falls to 17-15 on the year which is two games back of Oakland in the division.  These teams will continue their midweek series tonight with first pitch set for 7:40pm from Colorado and can be seen on FOX Sports SW.
