The Texas Tech Lady Raiders lost a tough one to the University of Texas Lady Longhorns 63-54. The game was a close one, with several lead changes throughout the second half before UT was finally able to put the game out of reach by going on an 18-5 run.

The Lady Raiders got out of the gate quick, jumping to a 11-4 lead on 7 points by Casey Morris. UT however was able to catch up, and scored an astounding 15 points in fast break points, many coming in the last few minutes of the game. Chassidy Fussell lead the Lady Horns with 20 points.

Casey Morris had 15 points, Chynna Brown chipped in 12 more, with Kierra Mallard netting an additional 12 points. The two guards and Mallard dominated the game for Tech, scoring a combined 39 points, 18 rebounds, and 15 of Tech's 19 field goals.

The Lady Raiders will travel to Waco to take on Baylor this Saturday. The Lady Raiders look to take down the number one team in the country, and increase their chances of a post season appearance.
