The Texas Tech men's basketball team made to trip to Waco over the weekend as they were looking to sweep the season series with the Baylor Bears.  Tubby Smith and the Red Raiders upset the Bears in Lubbock back on January 15th by a score of 82-72.

Baylor was having none of that on Saturday though as they came out ready for what Texas Tech had to offer.  By halftime they had built a 33-22 lead, which proved to be enough as they went on to win the game by a final score of 59-49.  Rebounds really hurt Texas Tech as the Bears out-rebounded them 40-24 in the loss on Saturday.  Tubby Smith's team also shot an uncharacteristic 41.2% from the free throw line going just 7-17.

Texas Tech will try and get back in the win column this week when they head to Lawrence, Kansas to take on the #8 ranked Jayhawks.  As of now, they currently sit at 13-16 on the season and 5-10 in Big 12 play.  Tip off for that game is set for Wednesday night at 7pm and can be seen on ESPN 3.
