The Texas Tech men headed to Tucson, Arizona on Tuesday to as they took on the #2 ranked Arizona Wildcats.  Tubby Smith and company would put up a valiant effort in the contest but they would struggle in the rebound department on their way to a 79-58 loss.

"That's something Coach always tells us in practice which is to rebound, rebound, box out, rebound. We should have done better, so we have to keep practicing in order to get better," Tech's Aaron Ross said.  Ross had one of his better games of the season on Tuesday as he scored 10 points on 4-5 shooting while adding two rebounds.  Jaye Crockett and Kader Tapsoba would lead the team in scoring as both had 11 points in the loss.

The Red Raiders would keep it close for most of the first half and would only trail 35-25 going into intermission.  They would not get any closer though as the Wildcats really picked up their play in the second half.

Rebounding would prove to be the key in the game as Tech would be out rebounded 43-23 in the contest.  Arizona clearly had the advantage in the size department as they would grab 10 offensive rebounds that led to 15 second chance points.

The Red Raiders don't play again until December 15th, when they are home against Central Arkansas.
