Jordan Tolbert led the Texas Tech Red Raiders with 22 points and 7 rebounds as the Red Raiders took down the Grambling State Tigers 87-59. The Red Raiders hit five 3-pointers in the first five minutes of the game and jumped out to a 17-0 lead. Walk on Luke Adams hit four of the five 3-pointers in just his second career game.

 

The Red Raiders overcame Grambling State's zone defense by consistently being able to make perimeter shots, and working the ball inside to big men Robert Lewandowski, who had 16 points on the night, and Jordan Tolbert. Grambling State trailed 27-2 at one point during the first half before closing the deficit to 40-28, before the Red Raider went on a 7-0 run to end the first half with a 47-28 score. The Red Raiders dominated the rest of the game, winning 87-59. Grambling State was led in scoring by Xavier Rogers who had 19 points.

 

The Red Raiders are 4-0 at the United Spirit Arena and 5-4 overall.
