The Texas Tech Red Raiders Take Down Northern Illinois 3-2 With A Walk Off Triple

Tim Proudfoot came through in what was likely the biggest moment in his career so far. Proudfoot hit a walk off triple in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Red Raiders a 3-2 victory over Northern Illinois. The freshman Proudfoot not only one the game for the Red Raiders, but also pushed their winning streak to five games. Proudfoot was 2-4 on the night with an RBI.

The Red Raiders pitching also came through as four pitchers combined for a no hitter through eight innings before Northern Illinois finally got a hit off of Tech closer John Neely, and managed to tie the game 2-2.Brennan more stepped up hitting a one out single before Proudfoot stepped up and helped the Red Raiders take the game.

The Red Raiders are 8-1 on the season.
