The Texas Tech women's soccer team rose in the NSCAA polls one spot after their 2-1 victory over the Iowa State Cyclones Friday in the Big 12 opener.

The weekend would end in a scoreless draw at Oklahoma State Sunday though. The ranking is the highest a women's soccer team has earned in school history.  With the win and tie over the weekend, Tech's record now sits at 10-1-1 with the lone loss coming to Long Beach State on September 1st.  The team will return to the John Walker Soccer Complex Friday for their Big 12 home opener against the TCU Horned Frogs.  They are do so riding an eight match unbeaten streak as they will try to extend that with first kick for the match set for 7 p.m.
