Update: Assistant Police Chief Greg Stevens reports that the investigation is ongoing, but the group was allegedly stealing copper wiring from Citizens Tower

Lubbock Police announced three arrests following an investigation into damage done to the recently purchased Citizens Tower.

Sandra Kay Phillips, 40, Robin Baxter, 41, and Harold Joseph Natale, 38, all from Houston, were served arrests warrents on Tuesday, December 23, according to a press release from Assistant Police Chief Greg Stevens.

The press release did not comment on the nature of the vandalism or the timeline of the events. However, the Lubbock County Jail lists warrant charges of theft of $200,000 or more for each suspect.

Additional on-view charges have been filed with each suspect receiving an organized crime in the third degree and theft of less than $1500 with two priors charge.

The Citizens Tower was renamed from the Omni Building after the City of Lubbock closed escrow on the defunct property in late 2014. The city is working on plans to re-house City Hall and other municipal departments within the building.
