Today's Happy Hour brings us a few interesting stories to delight our palate.

Big 12 Men's Basketball pre-season standings were released and the Texas Tech Men were picked last for the 2011-2012 season along with Oklahoma.

  1. Kansas
  2. Texas A&M
  3. Baylor
  4. Missouri
  5. Texas
  6. Kansas State
  7. Oklahoma State
  8. Iowa State
  9. Oklahoma/Texas Tech

The upside here for Tech is that any finish above last place will look good to the media and fans around the conference. However, Texas Tech fans will have higher expectations looking at Head Coach Billy Gillispie track record at UTEP and Texas A&M with quick turnarounds.

The Big East Conference is looking to add Boise State to the conference as they fight for survival in the conference realignment showdown. Boise would be crazy if they joined. The travel alone makes it unviable and they can already qualify for the BCS with their schedule and annual triumph over a BCS school in the early part of the season(Oregon State in 2004, 2006 and 2010, Oregon in 2008 and 2009, Virginia Tech 2010, and Georgia 2011). Future schedules have Boise playing at Michigan State with two games following the next  decade in 2012, a home and home with Washington starting in 2013, Ole Miss in 2014, and Washington State.
