On April 21st from 5 to 10 p.m., the Relay for Life of Texas Tech will host their annual event at the West Recreation fields on the Texas Tech campus.

This annual event is a major fundraiser in the fight for those who are suffering from any form of cancer.

From the American Cancer Society:

Funds raised help the American Cancer Society provide free information and support for people facing the disease today, and fund cancer research that will help protect future generations. During Relay For Life events, members of each team take turns walking or running around the track or path. Teams participate in fundraising in the months leading up to the event.

As someone who has lost three family members to cancer, I find this to be an honorable event that serves the greater good for those who are and have suffered from cancer.
