Whether you're booking a holiday for your office or would rather host family outside of your house, finding the perfect venue can be a frustrating process. In my life before being an on-air personality, I worked more than one job that required event coordination skills. Here's a short lists of places I've noticed that do an exceptional job hosting events, or provide you with a great venue with which to host your own.

They are in no particular order, and in fact, are all number 1s depending on your needs.

    CapRock Winery

Caprock Winery offers an elegant and warm setting in their barrel room. I attended the Ragin' Cajun Derby there this year and the event went off without a hitch. Their staff was professional and very knowledgeable about wine. There's plenty of parking and with as warm as it's been, you can probably enjoy the grounds as well as the interior facility.

    4 Bar K

If you're looking for ample space, excellent sound and an elegant-yet-still-West-Texas feel, 4 Bar K is a fabulous venue. I went for a Halloween party a couple years back and it was so comfortable, nicely lit and the bar staff was beyond pros.
