Travis Tritt Gets Big Shout Out During Texas Tech Basketball Game

Right there in the middle of the Texas Tech-Villanova Elite 8 game, country icon Travis Tritt received a shout out from announcers.

In the video clip, which Tritt put on his Instagram page and you can watch here, announcers explained that if Texas Tech wins, they get to pick their practice music at a 3:1 ratio. Of course, that still means Coach Beard gets to pick some tunes. And what does he pick? Travis Tritt, among other country singers.

As you can see in the tweet, Travis Tritt was appreciative.

Texas Tech basketball lost their Elite 8 matchup with Villanova. The game marked the first time in program history that the team made it that far in the March Madness tournament.
