Tubby Smith and the Texas Tech men's basketball team are still looking for their first conference win.  The Red Raiders came very close over the weekend as they took a tough 67-64 loss at the University of Texas.  The loss dropped the team to 8-8 on the year and 0-3 in Big 12 play.

That brings us to Wednesday night's contest.  The Red Raiders will welcome the #12 ranked Baylor Bears to the United Spirit Arena in their fourth Big 12 game of the season.  Baylor on the year is currently 13-2 and 1-1 in conference play.  Leading the Bears is Cory Jefferson (13.5 points per game) but Baylor has a very balanced offensive attack as four players are averaging in double figures.  Jefferson also is the teams leading rebounder as he is grabbing 8.8 boards per contest.

Tip off for Wednesday nights game is set for 8pm from the United Spirit Arena in Lubbock and can be seen on ESPNU.
