The situation got so bad that after a rain-delay was called at the Rangers- White Sox game, some fans were evacuated from the upper deck into the tunnels underneath Rangers Ballpark.  This was because numerous Severe Thunderstorm and Tornado Warnings had been issued for both Tarrant and Dallas Counties.

The rain-delay hit in the 4th inning, as the White Sox had a 4 to 2 lead.

As expected, the delay chased the starting pitchers: Jake Peavy for Chicago and Derek Holland for Texas.

After a 3-hour delay, umpires resumed the game at 11:20p in front of the few fans that stuck around.

As of 12:35am, the White Sox had a 7 to 5 lead over the Rangers in the bottom of the 7th inning.
