It did not take long for former Big 12 coach Tuner Gill to land on his feet as he was hired Thursday by FCS school Liberty, a Christian University in Virginia.

Gill was fired Nov. 27th after just two seasons in a five-year contract. He went 5-19 during his time at the helm of the Kansas Jayhawks.

He takes over a program coming off six consecutive winning seasons under Danny Rocco, who left after the season to take the top job at Richmond.

Gill was replaced at Kansas by former Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis.
