Early Tuesday (Oct. 9) afternoon, two men were arrested after a crash occurred in downtown Lubbock.

Just after 1 p.m., Lubbock Police attempted to stop a vehicle in the 800 block of Avenue O for a traffic violation. The driver evaded the officer, initiating a short pursuit.

The vehicle then ran a stop sign at the intersection of Main Street and Avenue O, crashing into an SUV. The vehicle fled the scene of the crash, stopping two blocks away, where the two male occupants left the vehicle to flee on foot.

Both individuals were arrested by police and no injuries were reported.

The men have been identified as 28 year-old Trey Parrish and 28 year-old Moses Martinez.
