Work to remove roadway striping along the west Loop 289 mainlanes is scheduled for the beginning of next week.

The work will take place overnight on Monday (May 7) beginning at 10 p.m., and is anticipated to be completed by 4 a.m. Tuesday morning (May 8).

Work will require lane and ramp closures on both the north and southbound lanes between Slide Road and 34th Street.

Work to restripe the mainlanes will take place next week, but times have not been specified.

The work is part of a district-wide $3.4 million project that is restriping various roadways across Lubbock and the surrounding 16 counties.
