United States Rugby to Square Off Against Italy in Houston

International Rugby will be in the Bayou City this summer featuring the United States National team.

Team USA will host Italy for the Americans only international match on home soil this summer. The match will take place June 23 at the brand new BBVA Compass Stadium, the new home field for the Houston Dynamo of the MLS.

BBVA Compass Stadium is a 22,000 seat complex being built on the east side of Houston and the USA-Italy match will be the first international event there. Construction of the new complex will be completed in May.

The "Eagles", a nickname for the U.S. Rugby team, will also travel to Ontario, Canada to face the Canadian National team June 9 and another match against the nation of Georgia June 16 at a site to be determined in the future.
