Wayland Baptist University will name longtime former Coronado High School football coach Butch Henderson its new head coach in a news conference Wednesday in Plainview.

Henderson replaces Jeff Lynn who resigned on April 21 for personal reasons after taking over the revived program after 71 years of being dormant. Henderson was 141-105 in his 23 seasons at Coronado High in Lubbock leading the school to its first outright district championship and 9 playoff appearances.

Henderson will be introduced at a 11:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at the Pete and Nelda Laney Student Activities Center in Plainview, TX.
