Wayland Baptist University’s Men’s and Women’s Basketball were swept Thursday night in Sooner Athletic Conference action.

The WBU Flying Queens dropped a low scoring game to Oklahoma Baptist 46-43 in Plainview.

The Flying Queens fell behind 25-16 at halftime, but fell short in their 2nd half rally.

The Flying Queens turned the ball over 18 times and shot 30% for the game. The Flying Queens fall to 13-12 on the season and 5-6 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.

The WBU Pioneers fell to 10th ranked Oklahoma Baptist 69-48 in the second game of the Thursday night double-header.

Reggie Fondren led the Pioneers with 17 points in the loss. The Pioneers shot only 28% in the first half and 30% in the game.

Wayland falls to 13-11 on the season and 4-7 in conference. OBU improves to 20-5 on the season and 8-3 in conference.

Wayland Baptist hosts St. Gregory’s Saturday afternoon in a double-header starting at 1 p.m.
