The Wes Welker-era is over in New England. Wes Welker left the New England Patriots today for the Denver Broncos via free agency.

Welker signed a two-year deal according to Denver Broncos President John Elway. Elway said, “His production & toughness will be a great asset!”

The Broncos is Welker’s fourth NFL team in his career. He started with the San Diego Chargers in 2004, was released after one game, then went to the Miami Dolphins. In 2007 he was traded to the Patriots and he became one of the NFL’s best wide receivers with Tom Brady as his quarterback.

In 2012, Welker caught 118 passes for 1,354 yards and 6 touchdowns.
