What Are You Watching Tonight, Baseball Playoffs or Thursday-Night Football? — Sports Survey of the Day

Football long ago surpassed baseball as America’s most popular sport. But with the baseball playoffs now in full swing, are people giving up a little football to watch some more baseball?

The 2012 playoffs, both the wild-card games and the divisional series, have gotten off to a great start. Games are close and being won in the last few innings—must-see TV for baseball fans, but is it enough to pull people away from the gridiron and back to the diamond?

Tonight will be a big test: a fairly run-of-the-mill Thursday-night football game (Steelers vs. Titans) will be showing at the same time as Game 4 of the Yankees-Orioles series and the clinching Game 5 between the Tigers and the Athletics.
