LeBron James has wildly been recognized as the best player in the NBA for some time now, but the resurgence of Kevin Durant and Paul George, that title could now be up for debate.  Durant has really turned it up since Russell Westbrooke (missed 21 games thus far) went out with another knee injury as he has gone 11 straight games with 30 points or more and averaging 38.5 points per game in that span.

Paul George has also thrown his name in the MVP hat this year as he has lead the Pacers to the best record in the NBA at 35-9.  He is averaging 23.3 points per game along with almost seven rebound as well.  The other name that has been mentioned is from probably the surprise team of the year so far in LaMarcus Aldridge and the Portland Trail Blazers.  Up to this point Aldridge is pouring in over 24 points per game (24.3) and adding 11.6 boards as well.  He has led the Trail Blazers to their best start in years with their 33-13 record.

Now with all that being said, LeBron James is not out of this race just yet.  He is still having a stellar year averaging 26 points, 6.5 assists, and 6.9 rebounds per game along with shooting nearly 60% from the floor.  LeBron and the Heat sit comfortably at the second spot in the Eastern Conference rankings with a 32-12 record thus far.  That brings us to our FAN poll of the day.
