The Texas Tech Red Raiders are now in summer workout mode, and if you want an entertaining follow for the next few months on Twitter, look no further than Rusty Whitt.

The American bad-ass and Texas Tech Strength and Conditioning Coach shares impressive videos that allow you to stay invested in the Red Raiders off the field during the off-season.

The video below features an individual from the team squatting 500 pounds, plus 70 pounds of chains. Take a gander and stare in awe at the impressive feat:

At first glance, I thought this was Jack Anderson, All-American offensive lineman. But then I noticed him to the right when I saw his tattoo sleeve and remembered how inked up he got.

My next guess was Houston Miller who, if this video means anything, is healthy and ready to make an impact on a defensive line that needs all the depth it can get.

Miller was a commit in the 2016 class for Texas Tech and Kliff Kingsbury. After a redshirt season and a 2017 that was riddled with injury, Miller finally looks to enter the fray and make an impact as a sophomore in 2018.

The stocky defensive lineman was highly recruited, and a personal favorite of mine in a class that featured Jett Duffey, Des Smith, Da'Leon Ward and Jordyn Brooks, who all look to be impact starters this season.

I'm going to go ahead and make the call here on Friday, June 22nd, 2018 that Houston Miller is going to have a breakout year and be an integral part of the 2018 defense that leads Texas Tech to a winning record.

Book it.

Now that we have that out of the way, how great is this video!

Here's another one of Tony Jones dead lifting 545 pounds, then shoulder shrugging it for good measure:

The camaraderie and encouragement is next-level in the football program, and the rest of the athletics department for that matter. I think that Texas Tech is really on the brink of something here, and success that the department had in the spring 2018 will breed more success.

The next calendar year could be really special for Texas Tech athletics.
