It wasn't as long as the Cubs' World Series appearance drought, but it's been quite a long time since Will Ferrell pulled out his legendary Harry Carry impression.

In hone of the Cubs making the Fall Classic for the first time 1948, Ferrell did just that on Monday night's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!

It's vintage Ferrell-as-Caray, who passed away in 1998 after a long and decorated play-by-play career. He tells silly and totally fictitious stories while pretending to call a Cubs game as Kimmel plays the straight man.

He goes on to discuss Donald Trump, President Obama and beer and does play-by-play of Kimmel hitting a home run in a celebrity baseball game before wrapping it all up by leading the audience in a version of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game."

It's vintage Ferrell and we can only imagine how many times he'll bust out this impression if the Cubs should happen to break a century-plus-old run of futility and win the World Series.
