Water -- it's one of the most precious resources in the world. Especially in drier parts of the country like West Texas.

Have you ever wondered about what is in your drinking water? According to the Environmental Working group, quite a bit is in Lubbock water.

The EWG obtained reports from both the EPA and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and the results are quite shocking.

There are 12 contaminants that are above health guidelines, and that's just in the City of Lubbock. These contaminants include arsenic, chloroform and radiological contaminants.

This is somewhat concerning to someone like me who drinks quite a bit of water.

You can see the full report on Lubbock’s drinking water at the EWG website.

And if you don’t live in the city, you can go to their website, enter your zip code and see what your drinking water has in store for you.
