The Texas Rangers are sending 7 players to the 2012 All Star Game in Kansas City, but that didn't intimidate the Oakland Athletics Sunday night.

The A's stopped the Rangers who have won 16 of their last 21 games and have the best record in the major leagues at 50-30.

Yu Darvish (10-5) took the loss for Texas pitching 7 innings giving up all three runs on 5 hits while striking out 11 batters with 3 walks.

Texas scored a run in the 3rd inning off a single from Elvis Andrus to score Ian Kinsler from 2nd base, but Travis Blackley (2-2) would shut down the Rangers for the remainder of the game.

Oakland tied the game in the 5th, then added a run in each of the next two innings to take the lead for good.

Texas travels for a three game series in Chicago to take on the White Sox starting on Tuesday.
