The Los Angeles Angels have agreed to a deal to acquire starting pitch Zack Greinke from the Milwaukee Brewers.

In exchange for Greinke the Brewers will receive shortstop Jean Segura and Double A pitchers Ariel Pena and Johnny Hellweg.

According to Baseball American Segura ranks as the second prospect in the Brewers system, Hellweg the fourth and Pena the ninth.

Greinke is 9-3 this season with a 3.44 ERA.

He joins a stacked Angels rotation that already includes Jered Weaver, C.J. Wilson and Dan Haren.

The White Sox, Rangers and Braves were all rumored to have all wanted Greinke badly, and will now be forced to consider other options.
