It took 52 games, but the Texas Rangers finally lost three games in a row this season.

The Rangers were swept yesterday by the Arizona Diamondbacks by scores of 5 to 3 in Game 1 and 5 to 4 in Game 2 in scheduled double-header.

The Diamondbacks used six shutout innings from Tyler Skaggs to keep the Ranger bats at bay in Skaggs season debut. The Rangers would score three runs in the top of the ninth, but fell short in the rally losing 5-3.

Game two displayed Rangers starter Yu Darvish throwing 7 2/3 innings with 14 strikeouts, but gave up four runs in the start earning the no-decisions.

Arizona used two runs  in the 8th and one in the 9th  to rally for the win over Texas. A.J. Pierzynski led the Rangers at the plate going 2 for 3 with 2 RBI in the loss.

Texas has the day off before hosting the same Diamondbacks for a two-game series starting on Wednesday.
